Dear Diary,
I met this new guy—Carbos. He has a blade with Abdel's name on it. Freaky! I promised to go fetch Abdel right away. Where is he anyways? Did he leave the castle without telling me.
Dear Diary,
Tonight is the big night. I'm getting out of the Candlecake too. I should acquire some "provisions" from the ol' Winthrop's inn first. Maybe I can catch up with Gorion and Abdel along the way if they would have me. Why would he leave without me? He can't still be mad about the barn incident, right?

I met Abdel on the road. He offered to carry my stuff and sent me to scout north trough the bushes where I was attacked by some gibberlings. Fortunately, I kept my short bow and turned them into pin cushions. When I returned he was already gone. I hope the gibberlings didn't eat him.
On the way north I met two other boys. The one who was shorter than me—Montaron—gave me potions and promised to tell me stories about trollops and plug tails later. I gave all my potions to Abdel earlier so I gladly accepted. I don't like his companion Xzar. He dosn't smile and he talks to himself.
Gibberlings are not so bad. Montaron taught me a game where monsters chase after me and he shoots his sling. After 12 hours I offered him to switch places but he said his legs were too short. We played until late into the night. Once I found an ogre in the woods and took his stuff. Her stuff. Also, I'm a boy now... long story. Anyway, both Xzar and Montaron gave me potions and we made camp.
