I updated Dragonspear today and now the game does nothing when I hit the launch button. It worked perfectly yesterday, before I did the update. No error, no crash, it just doesn't do anything. I restarted the computer, no effect, then reinstalled the game, no effect. I'm using a Mac- El Capitan 10.11.2.

This is the exact same problem I am having. I posted about it in the main Dragonspear forum, and I got an inquiry as to what OS I am using, but that is it. Definitely want to find a solution to this, I was mid-game!

Try creating a "Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition" folder in Documents
Let us know if you found an alias in that location.

I do have a Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition folder in Documents. BG EE created it when I installed it. I do not know what an alias is, but I will try and figure it out.

Sorry - I'm thinking of a different issue.

I'm not at my Mac right now, but if you go into the folder that has the launcher and open the Game Data folder, then open the numbered folder found there you will see the actual BG:EE app. Rename that app (just add an "x" to the end or something) and it should start working.

Yup, that definitely worked! Thank you so much!

Hello there. I was having the same issue, and the fix above solved it.

However, every time I try to start a new game, I select my character and difficulty, press start, and then the game crashes instantly.

When I do it in Baldur's Gate, it leaves me an error message, when I do it in Siege, it does not.

Below is the VERY long report MacOS gives me.

There was a whole bunch of other stuff in there, but it's too long to post.

    Any way to fix this?

Delete / Rename the "Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition" alias in your Documents folder (if there is one) then create a new empty "Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition" folder
