Civilian dress code

Hi guys
Have you considered, when entering Baldurs Gate, to adopt a dress code that is appropriate for a civilized and (supposedly) well guarded, safe city?
Such a dress code could imply:
No armour greater than leather (use Barkskin and shield amulets for unexpected situations).
No weapons larger than daggers (or perhaps short swords? Lighter swords *were* used, for decorative purposes, back in times).
Druids, Mages and rangers could be allowed to wield quarterstaffs, as that seems appropriate for them.
Now, with appearances kept appropriately high, as no one will be looking through your spell book (or your brain.. hopefully... (you did finish off Neera's nemesis' - right..?)), do feel free to memorize all the most nasty spells from your spell book. Fireball seems wildly inappropriate for a city setting, but who can see if you've got such a thing on your mind..? no one! muahahhaa!

A shame there are no fedoras in the game though. Best hats ever.
