    Could you advise whether your current issue is getting the game re-installed, I'm not sure what you mean by removed from beamdog launcher as that should uninstall the game.
    Thanks

    @Gate70 yes, I remove the game like that then try to download it again. There are normally two files that appear a (going off memory here): 00789.beam and 00789.status. Only one of those shows up, I believe the beam one. In the GUI it says something like getting download info and shows the circle with the line through it. Then nothing happens.

    Through fiddling I somehow have got it installed (restarts, closing, removing everything forget what actually worked) but then later, it will show an update for BGEE2 and I try to run it and then back to the start of just hanging there.

    I don't have this with the other versions or games I have (bgee, SOD, IWDEE, and betas).

    If you don't have a beam and status, it's likely your install needs checking. It should work as below;

    BGIIEE files are 783.
    The beam and status files can be deleted with the launcher closed.
    Restarting the launcher should show the game as ready to download.
    Clicking the circle to the right (twice, slowly if I recall) should move the game to downloading.
    Initially it checks files against the install, then downloads required files.

    The update can stop, e.g. if network connectivity is lost. In that circumstance, you can click the circle to pause and a few seconds later click to resume. You can also manually pause the download if you wished to close the launcher and it should be available to resume when relaunched.

    I'll mess with it again and report.

    I say I have no problems with the other games just this one. I've added and removed bgee beta, bg2ee beta since this started with no problems just bg2ee won't work.

    I'll try again and report.

    @Gate70

    Here's 3 screenshots.
    In the first I removed BGEE beta. Second I added BGEE beta back, no problem. Third I try to add back BG2EE and it doesn't progress from that screenshot. In the download folder, I have a 783.beam file, but no status. I believe that while the beta was downloading there was only a beam file, until it's done, then there's a status file.

    @smeagolheart Have you tried closing the client (launcher) and specifically delete that 783 beam file? After that you just restart the client and tell it to download (Sometimes it'll get stuck if there is just the one file)

    @elminster
    yes, and that is how I got screenshot 1. :)

    I can close the launcher and delete the beam file and folder (if any), then it shows it can install when I open the launcher again.

    Then I can click download and then it gets stuck again.

    @smeagolheart @Ildun try disabling your antivirus. We've been getting intermittent false-positives from different antivirus programs.

    @Cerevant but I can install all but bg2ee (see screenshots a couple posts above). Why would just one game not work?

    That suggestion was for the original problem. We'll troubleshoot the download issue separately.

    @smeagolheart looks like we have a glitch with BG2 on our end. We'll get it looked into.

    @Cerevant not sure if it's related but I recently got a steam key and was told that that meant that I could not get a refund - (I'm not asking for a refund) I'm just mentioning it in case something changed behind the scenes with my account.

    Also I bought SOD, that is something else that may have changed behind the scenes.

    FWIW I was able to download updates for betas for BGEE and BG2EE today no problem just regular BG2EE still causing an issue.

    How would I get converted from BGEE beta to SOD beta? I've bought SOD.

    There's a problem with BG2 on the server side, and our server guy is out until Monday. We'll get it sorted then.

    On Steam, just install SoD and you'll get the beta if BG1 is already on the beta channel.

    What about on Beamdog? I've got bd SOD version and happily don't have to mess with modmerging my SOD.

    I'm not sure I have steam SOD, I requested steam keys before I got SOD so think only have steam bgee
