Getting Screenshots Without The Green Square??

So I'm trying to take screenshots of the maps in the game, and of course every time I go to the map screen, I get that green square centered around my character in the map. Is there anyway I can view the maps without the green square so I can take screenshots of the game maps without that feature?

If you're trying to get the area maps for a walkthrough or similar, you can extract them from the game data files using NearInfinity.

It also has an Area Viewer, which lets you see the maps both with and without overlays showing NPCs/traps/entrances/containers.

I've downloaded Near Infinity but I have no idea how to get it to work or open. I'm on a Mac and I'm not computer savvy.

Did you download it from the following URL, which is the Mac specific repository for NearInfinity?

Yeah, hmmm. I got Near Infinity to work, just can't get it to open the BG2 file. I followed the instructions here too: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/19631/using-near-infinity-on-a-mac

Well, you need to find the BG2 chitin.key. Or did you find that already, and NI won't open it?
