Constant dispel animation on character

I am having a weird issue in BG2 where every 10 seconds the blue cloud dispel animation appears on my main character. I believe this started happening when I first transformed my character by using Jan Jansen's created boots (from the Unfinished Business mod). Is this a glitch, or can it be linked to some early game item / status effect? Thanks!

I'm currently maintaining BG1UB, not UB for BG2. Are those the Boots of Jansenkind? According to this forum at Pocket Plane, the boots are from the Banterpack, not UB.
