Does lack of thief skills in solo runs as a DD or f/m or anything not connected to thief hurts? I mean, how do you deal with traps then? Are thief skills important?
The game has been soloed many times by non thieves or by not mages or something/mage, as the Mirror Image is a quite reliable way to avoid the damage of most of the traps. But to solo with other classes requires a lot of metagame, you have to know exactly where the traps are, what they do and how much hp or what items you must have to help you survive the ones you can not avoid.
I think if you want to be tank, unstoppable, warrior, be berserker. The strongest warrior kit in the game. You will be strong when needs, you cant be hurt by strongest threats like imprisonement when raged. Dual wielded axes and warhammers. And you can use weapon foe any situation.
