BG:EE & BGII:EE won't update

I am trying to update the enhanced editions of both Baldur's Gate games installed on my laptop, but they freeze during the patching/updating process. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the games, but the same issue reoccurs for both games. If it helps, I have Windows 7.

    The only time I recall that problem is during the initial release. It seemed like pausing for a few seconds and then unpausing got the download started again, you might try that by clicking in the area with Downloading:.....

    The second screenshot shows patch 1.2.2030 when the latest versions are 2.*

    You could try downloading the installers again or use the Beamdog Client. Former by signing in to http://www.beamdog.com/ and latter via the blue icon at the bottom left of the same page but not requiring login until the client runs.
