Weird random dialogue bug

I found another bug report with my exact problem here.

I'm playing a female half-elf fighter/mage imported from BG1, same problem. I click on my character and I get sad Aerie romance dialogue, 'How about this trade war'? and other weirdness.

This bug was reported two years ago and still exists. Please fix it, or point me at the mod that has fixed it. Thanks!

    Try changing sound sets for your character in the customize menu. Seems that dialog goes haywire when the soundset you used in BG1 is not available in SoD or BG2
