Hi, everyone, and welcome to the first BG:EE Forums Fanart Challenge~!
The rules are simple. Just make some art on the theme and post it. ANYTHING VISUAL IS OKAY. Drawings, photographs, and photomanipulations are all okay, as well as any other artsy medium I've forgotten about. The only requirement is that it has to be your work. In two weeks, if this goes well, I'll post a second challenge. After I see how it's going, I may post a second thread for people to post ideas for future challenge themes.
This time, the theme is something pretty universal to BG fans. I wanted to start with something anyone could draw, no matter what they did in game or who they took along with them. So our first theme is CHARNAME. What kind of characters have you played? Draw them for us, tell us about them! If you've got more than one, you're welcome to post multiple drawings, if you like.
Remember, "I can't draw" shouldn't be an excuse. If your drawing ends up looking like a stick figure wielding a sword, then we want to see that stick figure wielding a sword, and maybe even hear about his/her adventures.

This is Samora, Neutral Good female elven mage. She was my first PC, and the only one I've actually gone through multiple playthroughs with. Class and alignment have changed slightly. She was CG on my first two playthroughs, and I've donea few where she was a wild mage or a sorceress, respectively. In my early playthroughs she was way more over the top and caricatured. I think her current incarnation is much more believable.
Stats:
STR 10
DEX 9
CON 11
INT 18
WIS 13
CHA 17
Samora is generally a peppy and optimistic person, and she's pretty trusting. She likes to give everyone a chance, because distrusting someone without reason doesn't seem to her like a very nice thing to do. She gets a little more cautious as the story goes on. She's got a fascination with bards, and really wishes she could be one herself, but can't, due to 2nd ed race restrictions. She has a tendency to start singing when the mood takes her. (Now it's mostly just traveling songs, drinking songs and such. In the first few playthroughs it was more like she would burst into full musical numbers at the drop of a hat, and I liked to imagine it annoyed the shit out of her traveling companions.) She's got a deep-seated fear of abandonment which stems from never knowing her real mother, and as a result may get upset or panicked if one of her friends gets angry with her. She cares about what other people think of her a lot more than she probably should. She's also got a phobia of the undead, which I have roleplayed out almost every playthrough (to my inconvenience, gameplay-wise.). She will usually freeze up when fighting them. She's a caring and affectionate person, and will go to some pretty crazy lengths to make her friends happy.
She's romanced Xan on almost every single playthrough I've done. She did romance Anomen on my first BG2 playthrough, and other than that she pretty much didn't do romance before I installed the BG1 NPC Project and Kulyok's BG2 Xan mod. Oh wait, yeah, there is one more. She ended up romancing Aerie once. By accident. On one of my wild mage playthroughs she wild surged and turned into a man for about an in-game day. The game glitched and the gender change triggered the Aerie romance. Samora was pretty much oblivious throughout most of it and thought Aerie was just becoming a closer friend. Then she got pretty weirded out once it got further, and she was just like 'um no I'm sorry I don't feel that way but I'm like really sorry?'

My newest Bhaalspawn Aliathana. She's a CG Elven Swashbuckler with a thing for cats...and sarcasm. I can't say I remember stats since it's been a few months since I've actually gotten on to play BG since my laptop sort of died.
Ali tends to sass people quite a bit and her true feelings about things are usually hidden behind her wit. Dig deep enough however and you'll find a person that is sweet, caring and in need of affection. While she loves cats, dogs tend to frighten her. Oh, and look there's my attempt at the shadow of the Slayer!
I like to think his personality would be like Sarevoks/Korgans where he knows he has the ability to destroy things and he is driven by his own personal desires(godhood/gold).
Stats would be along Sarevoks ofc haha. It has to be intelligent being a dragon, its using a giant axe in 1 hand, so lots of str. Mobility from flying so I doubt it would be a low dex. Maybe he smells so he has a low Cha. I'm sure he wouldnt have a great WIS either.
Please once BG3 is on the table, give us dragonborn, I can beg!
Damn. That is some quality modeling right there. What program do you use? I prefer 3Ds Max, myself.

Name: Talin Silverbane
Race: Half Elf
Class: Fighter/Mage
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Romance Interest: Aerie (In one playthough: Nalia)
@Midorii
Thanks! I did that work in Maya. Next comes sculpting it...but ive been a little lazy and picked up Pandaria....cool rewards for contests like these would def get me into working on it again. Although I may not qualify to win since the PC cant be a dragonborn
I call her Ev and she doesn't want to adventure but is forced to, since people have tried to kill her since day one she left Candlekeep. All she wants is for it all to stop. She's selfish, world-weary, cynical, wants nothing to do with this Bhaal nonsense. She doesn't care about money, fame or anything like that, just wants to go home and have a quiet life and keep reading.
The longer the adventure is drawn out the worse she gets.
She's a Neutral Evil Fighter/Mage/Thief.
Some military type training from the Candlekeep guards, some wizardry training from all the reading and practicing, thief skills from playing hide and seek with other kids/being a menace, etc.
This is Elysea.
Edit: I couldn't help myself, so I kept working on the picture. Knowing me it'll probably never be finished.
Old version on the left, new version on the right:
They can be easily resized for use as portraits ingame.
Mara
Half-Orc Cleric (in my mind she is firmly a Demarchess of Mask even if the class doesn't exist in BG1/2)
Zaharra
Gnome Cleric/Thief who, on the latest playthrough, somehow morphed into a Dwarven Swashbuckler in my mind [My husband challenged me to draw a sexy char so this is Zaharra with custom leather armor (terrible AC :P ), belt of hill giant strength and an impractical hairstyle ]
This is a one shot featuring her though Sarevok is the main character.
.............
I doubt I'd manage to sketch all my favourite characters (Xiv the Berserker, Amaranthe the Necromancer, Luatha the Bard, Xazzie the Assassin, etc) but maybe I'll try to motivate myself and at least draw sorceress Neleothesze (for whom I chose this ID).
lovely pictures. The first one looks like a portrait that could fit with the actual in game ones.
Vayu Atar,
"The Half-Elf".
Chaotic Neutral Mage/Thief.
Vayu is actually a full blooded elf, his unfortunate nickname comes from one of his ears, crudely carved into the rounded shape of a human ear when he was a child, supposedly "to help him fit in better" in Candlekeep. Halfway through the process the young elf had passed out of pain and blood-loss, and his "benefactor" had fled, leaving him to be discovered some time later by Gorion.
Vayu never said who had perpetrated the deed, but the experience left the once friendly, exuberant youth sickly, bitterly antisocial and obsessed with his studies, both publicly, as Gorion's apprentice, and secretly, as he engaged in more nefarious arts under the cover of darkness, all in the interests of waging a decades long campaign of petty theft, vicious practical jokes and several bouts of magically-assisted arson against a certain scribe.
When a little girl came under Gorion's care, Vayu's first reaction was outright hostility towards this new and unwanted intruder into his life, but the years of the small human following him around gradually brought him out of his shell, taking her under his wing and slowly opening him back up to the world he had shunned for so long, though he never did quite forgive her for the nickname she came up with when she was twelve.
Now a young adult, Vayu is a talented mage and a better thief. Quick to anger and slow to forgive, with a streak of ruthless cunning he rarely hesitates to employ for his benefit, particularly against the ignorant masses of humanity. Fortunately for Faerun at large, Imoen's plaintive looks and, on occasion, elbows to the ribs make sure Vayu does the right thing. At least usually.
Stealth Edit: No, I'm not capable of sticking to a single character appearance whilst not even playing for more than a week? Why do you ask.
And thanks! Never written up a playthrough before, but perhaps I'll give it a go.

Sirick Jonas Griffardo
BG1 Stats:
Strength – 20* (Modded Sarevok to be 22, he naturally had to be stronger)
Dexterity - 16
Constitution - 15
Intelligence – 22*
Wisdom - 14
Charisma – 16
* Artificially increased with Keeper
A Chaotic Good, Half Elven (Rage) Mage/Frenzied Berserker!
Raised in Candlekeep by the mage Gorion (duh!).
Originally named Jonas, a name Gorion felt fitting for someone of Elven heritage. When of age, was prompted to choose his own name and picked Sirick, the name of a long dead archaeologist whose books were numerous amongst the library shelves. Having being only been briefly tutored on the gods (a subject Gorion decided to avoid) Sirick did not realise his new name was ironically close to that of Cyric (Gorion thought it best to not point this out).
Thanks to the taint of Bhaal Sirick has a resistance to magic and great strength, allowing him to become quite proficient in the use of two handed swords, and to later duel wield two handed swords (thanks to some mods). He is also naturally intelligent and is hyperthymestic. As such he can recall everything with extreme detail, often to his annoyance as the recalled memories are often random and of no use. Due to his unique mind-set Sirick is a great student of the arcane arts but finds certain spells simply refuse to be cast, as such the spells Sirick can cast are limited.
There are a few things about Sirick that could do with a little explaining.
The Spellcurve sword was added via a mod. It’s a +2 Two handed sword that has a fair chance of defecting a spell.
Sirick somewhat dislikes his Elven features. He prefers to be viewed as masculine and was overjoyed when he found he could grow a beard.
Sirick wears a Ring of the Ram as an earring (I thought it was funny), this allows him to deliver skull shattering head-butts. This was represented in game as an once a day ability.
Sirick wears a variant of the Bhaal symbol (the one from the Throne of Bhaal over). It’s different enough that most people don’t instantly think “OMG BHAAL!!” when they see it, but close enough that Sirick is always reminded (not that he could forget) of what he is and more importantly so are those who travel with him.
Takes both Sarevok’s sword and pauldron to replace his own which were destroyed in the fight with Sarevok.
With some help from Keldorn and a little Bhaal taint (not to mention some game modding), manages to corrupt and use Carsomyr.
I always thought it a little odd your character goes from nothing to demi-god in such a short time. As such I decided to add a little bit of rapid ageing to Sirick. After all, power comes with a price!
Angel Wing Razor is a sword “gifted” to Sirick from Cyric (and a mod). I love that sword.
Sirick finds that wielding both Carsomyr and the Angel Wing Razor at the same time can have some very interesting results. The swords apposing nature allows from some inventive techniques, much to the swords disdain. As time passes Sirick seems to assign personalities and egos to the weapons and will often argue with them, Minsc seems to be the only one to understand and accept this.
Feeling he is not strong enough to defeat Abazigal, Sirick takes a gamble with the Deck of Many things. It pays off, but is rapidly aged as a result.
In his battle with Abazigal, has half of his head and right arm scorched to nothing. But who needs limbs and half a lobe when you can regenerate as the Slayer?!
Damn that was a lot of text…
Great stuff you got there, hats off for you. Used to make a backstory of my own multiple times, but I always end up halfway, because of the urge to play the game... so yeah, great stuff. Especially the images of Sirick, I was like "whoooaaa" and such. At times like that it makes me wanna play.
