Everyone in town used to throw rocks at me and tell me I was annoying. I once knew this guy named Dilby. He threw rocks at me too. Are you gonna throw rocks at me? What about now?
After countless deaths Noober has conquered Baldurs Gate 1, Pillars of Eternity & Wasteland 2. But there is no rest for the fools so his soul vanished from the realms once more only to appear in Icewind Dale. How this could happen is still a mystery but Noobers current aims are clear and simple: He wants to be a famous adventurer again - help him to survive!
Noober – as the name already indicates – is a noob in its truest form. This means:
1. He is stuck at Level 1 forever and will never go up.
2. All monsters he faces will get furious so Insane Difficulty only.
3. Because of his nerve-racking personality he has to play solo.
There are several questions along the way:
1. How far can Noober go before reaching the point of no return?
2. Which class should have the best chances of survival?
3. Which items will be essential?
4. Will you throw rocks at him?
F/M/T sounds like a good start and with good preparation, kiting & stealth it should at least be possible to reach Yxunomei. Or not? And if he will be able reach her how can Noober beat Yxunomei and her Yuan-Ti army? At the moment it seems that Icewind Dale is Noobers end....
Any help is welcome!

A FMT or a FMC would suit it.
Looking forward to updates!
Fighter for better Hitpoints, THAC0 and Weapon Specialization (Long Bow + Long Sword).
Mage for the better use of wands and scrolls (plus casting "Charm" a lot).
Thief for stealth, backstabbing, trapping and at least in the beginning for disarming.
His starting stats:
Str: 18/92
Dex: 19
Con: 17
Int: 18
Wis: 3
Cha: 8
Move Silently +40 -> 70
Main Spell -> Charm
EASTHAVEN
Noober finished some of the starting quests to get enough gold for a Composite Longbow & Arrows. After talking to Hrothgar he moved on to the pass of Kuldahar to find out what happened to the caravan.
Fighting the Orcs was simple: Charm + Kiting + Backstabbing. Noober always made sure to charm enemy archers as they posed the main threat. After they died to friendly fire the rest was simple kiting and leave area abuse. For the last big group with all the Ogres Noober used a similar approach: Charm -> Retreat -> wait for enemy death and combat end -> rest -> charm -> and so on. After the enemy group was heavily decimated Noober kited the last Ogres to death. This took some while but he never got in real danger. After the final blow he was able to loot all corpses and chests - job done!
ATTACK ON THE CARAVAN
After getting all needed supplies the caravan marched to Kuldahar. Well at least they tried. After an ambush only Noober survived - surrounded by a huge horde of goblins. Thanks to his thiefing skills he stealthed past the enemy lines and moved on to Kuldahar.
VALE of SHADOWS
Even though the undead are immune to Charm all of them have a big weakness: They are dumb as hell. Or with other words: You can solo-pull them easily. After some heavy kiting Noober managed to get both keys from the crypts so he moved on to Kresselacks Tomb. Here the pull-and-kill-game continued either with bows & arrows or with infamous trap-stacking (5x 2d8+5 damage nearly kills everyting).
Noober found a Longsword +1 along the way together with Gauntlets of Weapon Skill (+1 THAC0) and a Mage Robe of Cold Resistance (+20% CR). With the tactics described above the undead were no match for him - it was all about patience.
Only one part was really troublesome (without using a precious invisibilty potion): The room in the northwest were you get ambushed by many skeletons plus hit by a nasty trap that knocks you out for several rounds. After many reloads Noober managed to stealth, run and hide in the small alcove in the east before the trap hit him (plus he needed to make a saving throw vs spells to shorten the knockout duration!). After this it was all about luck as the skeletons around moved out of sight. Once he was up again Noober immediately restealthed, took the key and moved on to the north-eastern passage that lead to level 2.
Level 2 again was all about splittpulling and kiting (or trapping). After quite some time Noober managed to clear the whole level (using +1 arrows for the Wights) and eating a lot of trap damage (8 trap damage vs 9 Hitpoints!!!). Along the way he collected a Wand of Armory, the Black Wolf Talisman (+10 Hitpoints!) and pulled the trigger to open the door for level 3.
Level 3 was the easiest one because all Noober did was: Stealth through enemy lines to reach Kresselack. The dead spirit told him to kill an evil Auril priestress that is hiding somewhere in the Vale of Shadows. Once Noober found Lysan he talked peacefully. Before starting the fight he trap-stacked the area around Lysan. After a good backstab the traps instakilled Lysan so Noober had time to loot and restealth before the Yetis appeared. In the chests he also found Gnomish Tools for Oswald Fiddlebender (another Invisibilty Potion!!) and a Mage Dagger +1 (+1 level 1 spell). Back to Kresselack Noober talked and looted everything he could carry. Job done - traveling back to Kuldahar!
Before moving on Noober decided to steal every person in town.
Sounds like fun no? After many reloads he got a nice collection:
2x Ring of Free Action
1x Ring of Protection +2
1x Necklace of Missiles
1x Amulet of Metaspell Influence
1x Potion of Firebreath
2x Oil of Fiery Burning
A lot of potential gold. Noober is still thinking how to invest it.
The only instabuys so far are:
3x Oil of Speed (for better kiting & escaping)
3x Potion of Invisibilty (improved stealth for critical sections)
3x Potion of Frost Giant Strenght (for closed chests and doors)
The temple of the forgotten god is waiting...
Noober had to play very cautious here otherwise he would have been slaughtered within seconds. Especially the Verbeegs can be troublesome because they not only have big range but they also constantly one-hit-kill Noober.
To get through two options came up:
1. Lure the enemies into traps and kite the hell out of them
2. Use an Invisibilty Scroll or Potion to slip through
Stealthing alone was no option because of the knockout trap that will hit you right before the door to the second level. Noober tried it again and again but could not get past this damn trap (maybe Oil of Speed would have done the job, but now its too late).
Finally he decided to chose the easy path: Use a Invisibilty Scroll and walk by unnoticed. In the cave where the Heartstone Gem was, he took the green potion and moved out. Well – before he left the temple he looted all chests (more magic items but no Longbow +2) and stealthed back to the entrance. Dragon´s Eye is waiting...
The whole dungeon can be a pain in the ass. And to make things worse: Once Noober arrived at Dragon´s Eye he got attacked by several Trolls with no room for kiting. Entering the first level wont help because of all those Lizard Man that are swarming around.
So Noober had only one chance to go further: Immediately drink a Invisibilty Potion before the Trolls attack him - otherwise they would follow him forever even if they cant see him. Once he was invisible the main goal was clear: Sneak throug the enemy lines as far as possible.
Level 1:
Pretty easy as there are no traps or essential quests. Just move to the stairs in the Souteast – job done.
Level 2:
Same thing. Just sneak through to the Southeastern passage – cant get easier.
Level 3:
Same as above but you have to move a bit more careful because of all the traps. The one that triggers if you open the door to the next level is deadly. It took dozens of reloads before Noober was able to slip through the next level before (!) the trap reached him.
Level 4:
Now things get trickier. Noober moved to the locked door in the southern part of this section. He trap-stacked the area in front of the door to prepare his next moves: Drink a Potion of Frost Giant Strength → Open the door with brute force → wait for the traps to instakill both Eldathyns → Immediately stealth → Sneak to the stairs that leads to the next level → Click the stealth button again before you reach the door so you get there still in stealth mode but have time to restealth immediately after opening the door with brute force (and hope that it works the first time as it breaks stealth and makes you vulnerable to the Yuan-Ti attacks) → Walk down to level 5 and immediately restealth (without breaking stealth before reaching the door you wont have time to restealth before the enemies follow you through the stairs!) → Sneak through the Yuan-Ti that are before and behind you (following you forever!) → open the first door, slip through and close it again! Now you are save from your hunters as they are unable to reopen the door. Yes, this sounds very complicated and maybe there would have been an easier way but after endless tries this was the one that worked at the end (even though it took many tries).
Using the strong captives at level 4 and help them fighting the Eldathyns and Yuan-Ti did not work well because every time there were several enemies that moved right to Noober even if he was in stealth. Damn! It would have been too cool to get the Flaming Longsword +2 plus some other stuff from them but i couldnt find a way to make this work. Maybe i missed something.
Level 5:
Okay Noober is now on level 5. The door where all your hunters from level 4 are lurking is closed. He is safe – for now. Time to clear the path to Yxunomei. The preperation for the final fight looked like:
Clear the main path using the usual trap-stacking and kiting. As one trap-stack is not enough for the bigger groups Noober used a dirty trick. He placed 5 traps behind a door, lured the enemies into the traps and immediately closed the door. Now he had time to place 5 new traps before opening the death door. If this is still not enough he could always run to the next door – you know what i mean. Thanks to this dirty trick he cleared the main path, the rooms right before Yxunomei and got the Messenger of Seth Bow (together with +2 Arrows!) from the High Archer (who got instakilled by the traps).
NOT TO FORGET: Before facing Yxunomei Noober has to make sure to kill all of the hunterkillers from level 4 using the death-door-traps. The reason for doing this is simple: After you talk to Yxunomei every door - except for one - will open so the enemies will move up to this special door – waiting that you kill Yxunomei. After that this door will open too so all of the Eldathyns and Yuan-Ti (and Trolls) will be all over you. Maybe you will be able to kite them down but most likely they will catch you. After killing them with your trap-stacking you do not have to worry about them anymore. Thats good!
Now – and only now - it is time to face Yxunomei herself:
1. Noober placed 5 traps right under the door.
2. Oil of Speed + Heavy Armor & Shield so he can survive the first attacks and is able reposition fast.
3. Talk to Yxunomei and wait until she starts casting Cloudkill
4. Run very carefully out of sight past the Yuan-Ti-Mages
5. Avoid at all costs getting hit by a trap (you just have to remember where they are otherwise its game over)
6. Pray that the following Cloudkill will not instakill you AND hope that your traps will hurt – or kill – as many Yuan-Ti (especially the Elite ones) as possible
7. Use a Invisibilty Potion and move right to the edge of the deadly cloud so that the rest of the Yuan-Ti will stand in the cloud (and hopefully die). Avoid at all costs that they are able to surround you completly otherwise its game over.
8. After all the trap and poison damage most of the Yuan-Ti should either be dead or heavily injured. Refresh your Oil of Speed if needed and start the kiting (while still avoiding the traps).
9. Your main targets should be: Yuan-Ti-Elite → Mages → Priests. Yxunomei herself is no threat as long as you keep moving. If she summons some undead kill the archers first.
10. Once the main threats are dead Noober can switch to the +2 Arrows and start hurting Yxunomei. Thanks to the fast attack speed and a quite ok THAC0 of 10 it should not take too long bringing her down.
Succeeding with all of these steps is not only a matter of tactic but also of luck. It took Noober more than one hour to get a fight where all things worked together. Maybe there are better ways.
After all the trouble Yxunomei was finally dead – something i thought that would never ever be possible with a single level 1 character. After taking a lot of loot Noober stealthed all the way back without using a Invisibilty Potion. He will need them later.
As i stated earlier: Everything that follows now is just a bonus because i always thought that Yxunomei would be the end for Noober. She was not!
Thanks to the gods Noober is now standing right before the doors of the Severed Hand, an old elven ruin that is infested by endless shadows. The main goal is clear: Get somehow to Larrel and repair his strange machine. Sounds like fun!
LEVEL 1:
Noober tried to stealth through but got caught by two Shadow Shamans that were able to look through the invisibility. Knowing that you will face enemies like that on each level makes things easier. With other words: Noober lured them into his death-traps – easy.
LEVEL 2:
Here Noober lured some Shadow Goblins into the traps he set up on level 1 (NW stairway!). After that he moved on to level 3 unnoticed.
LEVEL 3:
Once you use the eastern stairs to get down to level 2 and further to level 1 there will be several Shadow Orcs that will follow you even when stealthed. Noober lured them down to the area in front of the main gate so he could easily kite them to death. After that he moved back to level 3 and used the eastern passage that leads to level 2 and further on level 1. He stealthed through the skeletons and shadows, grabbed the piece of a broken machine and immediately used an Invisibilty Potion.
LEVEL 4:
Here Noober sold some loot and bought all of the fire and acid arrows from Lehland - he will need them later. From level 4 there are several paths to different towers.
SHEVERASH TOWER:
The fastest way to get the next piece of the machine was to trap-stack the area near Kaylessa and backstab her. Thanks to all the traps she should die instantly. Another cheesy way: Backstab her and immediately use the Blind ability of the Rogue´s Cowl. After that assassination Noober collected the Boots of Speed and Kaylessas Armor. It was a real pity that she didnt dropped the +3 Longbow but – hey – the Messenger of Seth is still very, very good.
Another thing he had to do before moving on: The Elven Archers on the level 2 are blocking the path to the next level. To get them moving he weared heavy armour plus shield and lured them away from the entrance. Lucky as he is he did not took any scratch and once he used the stairs back to level 1 no shadow elves followed him – great!
CORELLON TOWER:
Here Noober first looted all chest at level 3 before he moved to his main target: Another piece of the broken machine on level 2. Getting it was much easier than expected. He sneaked in, grabbed it and just ran down the stairs to level 1. Interestingly no Shadow Elves followed him.
SOLONAR TOWER:
Noober looted all chests on level 4 while breaking engagement thanks to the close-door-trick. But the main goal is the piece of a broken machine on level 3. Noober used stealth to get in, grabbed to piece and got out like there was no tomorrow. Several Shadow Elves followed him but he still stayed cool. All he needed to do was: Lure them to a room on level 4 of the main building and close the door to trap them there.
But beware: Once Noober had stolen the piece of a machine from Solonar Tower there will always appear three Shadow Elves if he enters any tower again (even though they seem to loose connection if you move on to a higher level - very strange!).
MEETING LARREL:
Once Noober had collected all four missing parts of the machine he sneaked through Labelas Tower, took the Book of Mythals from Custhanatos and finally met Larrel himself. After repairing the machine Noober could convince Larrel to use the Hearthstone Gem so he could a clearer look where the evil is hiding. „You have to go to Dorns Deep“ Larrel said. This doesnt sound like fun anymore if i remember all of my previous playthroughs. With other words: A tough nut to crack. But before moving on Larrel teleported Noober back to Kuldahar – time for some restocking!
NOOBERS MAIN ITEMS SO FAR
Weapons: Messenger of Seth Longbow + Longword of the Hand +3
Armour: Robe of Enfusing + Kaylessa´s Armor +3
Shield: Large Shield +1 of Missile Deflection
Gloves: Gauntlets of Weapon Skill
Head: Rogue´s Cowl
Neck: Black Wolf Talisman
Rings: Ring of Protection +2 + Ring of Shadows
Waist: Girdle of Labelas
Boots: Boots of Speed
Not perfect but enoug to get him this far... ;o)
At the moment i fear that the end will come somewhere in Dorns Deep as there are several tough boss battles. Maybe Noober will find a way around them, maybe he will not. But for this as for all the other challenges my personal key is: The way is the reward.
The huge underground complex called Dorns Deep will be the final test for Noober. Will he be able to move on or is the end near? We will see!
The first level of Dorns Deep is heavily infestaded with Myconoids and Ettins. Noobers ignored all of them and sneaked right through to the eastern passage.
QUARTERS
On this level you will face many orcs and - even worse - drow. They are deadly spellcasters and Noober stands no chance against them in close combat. But the biggest problem is: The drow and orcs are blocking your movement so sneaking throug their lines wont work. As fighting seemed to be no option Noober used another trick to open the path: Out of enemy sight he casted "Horror". After many reloads not only one of the drow spellswords got affected but also enough of the orcs on the left side. As they ran around in panic Noober used the open path to slip through unnoticed and moved up to the Orog Cave in the Northeast.
OROG CAVE
This one is simple again. Just kite the Neo Orogs to death. Once Noober faced Krilag he blinded him and backstabbed him to death with several blows. After getting his badge and some loot Noober decided to leave the cave again.
BACK TO THE QUARTERS
The next target is the round table in the north where he slipped trough the secret door into the puzzle room. After using on the right sequence Noober moved back to the round table and pulled the hammer of the dwarven statue. As this breaks stealth he immediately used a potion of invisibity, ran to the secret room again and rushed down the stairs.
FORGE & TIERS OF THE DEAD
I remembered that Noober will meet a damn Lich with a army of strong undead here and thought: Ok, thats it. But before quitting Noober had at least to try it.
In the end the whole level was far easier than expected. Before entering Noober used oil of speed to get through this unholy place as fast as possible. He ran up to the lich (no traps around there!!!), grabbed the key for the hall of heroes and immediately used a potion of invisibilty so the undead around wont notice him. In the hall of heroes he ignored the lich and entered the crypt with Therikans lifestone. Thanks to his superior movement speed he completly avoided the fireball trap and moved out before the mummy was able to cast one of here deadly spells. Noober moved on to the crypt of Jamoth while a pack of undead was hunting him. Once he entered the crypt with the lifestone Therikan and the undead around him died. Noober got back to the forge where he spoke with the ghost again. He was very grateful and Noober was now able to get the wyrmtooth key.
As he reached the door in the hall of heroes several bronze sentries attacked him (they can see though stealth or invisibilty). As fighting them (many HP and +2 weapons needed) would have been difficult Noober decided to ignore them by just running past them.
Wyrms Tooth Glacier is waiting...
Noober moved straight to the Frozen Temple while some of the bronze sentries decided to hunt him down. Once you are in the huge temple you will have enough room to play the hit and run with his Longsword +3 - just make sure to engage the sentries stealthed so they cannot attack you. Once they are down the rest is easy. After talking to Krilesh the frost salamandre boss Noober went straight to the lower level and killed Soth to get the Engineering Manual. With it Noober was able to repair the western bridge.
Before moving on he cleared the area in front of the temple thanks to his superior kiting skills. To finish the Trolls he memorized Burning Hands. With the area cleared he walked into the frost giant cave where he pulled the wolves out and kited them down too.
As there is no need fighting Joril the Frost Giant Boss Noober took his badge after talking him down. As there are lot of nice goodies around Noober looted all chests before moving out again.
If you want to fight Kontik and his Black Ice Knights the easiest way is: Kill the trolls around him so you have free path, Set a trap-stack outside, sneak in & blind Kontik. Once the Ice Knights approach you, get out and lure them into your death trap. Kite the rest down until all are dead. Meet Kontik again and bring him down too - thanks to blindness this should be easy. Take the precious loot and smile.
After this Noober cleared the eastern passage as he will need room for kiting later on. Everything is ready - time to enter the dreaded halls of Lower Dorns Deep.
Okay, here we go – Noober has started his journey into the unholy depths of Dorns Deep.
Right after he entered the first big problem came up:
THE TARNISHED SENTRIES
These ghostly armors are a real pain because they can not only see through invisibilty or stealth but they are also able to attack you. This means: They are throwing deadly axes at you once you get into vision range (which will instakill Noober!). To make things worse: They will follow you forever and are really tough to bring down. After some thinking Noober used a "Protection from Normal Missiles Scroll" as the axes are not enchanted (the ammo of the sentries is limited so you do not have to worry if the spell runs out later).
He lured the four Sentries near the main gate out to Wyrms Tooth Glacier. His goal: Use the cold aura of the salamandres and the big area in the frozen temple to kite them down without any fear of retaliation (they have no DR vs cold plus it saves many magic arrows). After running in circles for some time the sentries died one after another opening the path into the heart of Lower Dorns Deep!
THE PALACE & MARKETH
Noober ignored the Palace Courtyard with all the Myconids and moved right into Palace Level 1. Here he easily killed Fleezum and Flozem (19 Strength Girdle) after blinding them. In the kitchen he took the sack of potatoes before moving on to level 2.
On level 2 you will meet Marketh. Noober sneaked up to him and nooberized the poor guy down. Or with other words: Noober talked so much that Marketh handed over his badge peacefuly, happy to get out as fast as possible. The only trick here is: Once Noober got the badge (plus some bonus) he had to restealth immediately otherwise he would get instakilled by the incoming thieves. But thanks to stealth he was able to walk out of the palace in one piece. Easy stuff!
The Idol, Malavon and Maiden Ilmadia are still waiting. Will Noober be able to get their badges too?
To be continued....
This one was a walk on the knives edge. Noober tried it over and over again but failed miserably.
After some heavy refitting he found the key:
1. Oil of Speed / Fire Resistance Potion + Potion of Magic Shielding for 100% Fire Resistance as the Idol and the Greater Mummies will throw deadly fire based spells all the time. Thanks to the magic shielding Noober will automatically make all saving throws against spells like Flesh to Stone which would otherwise kill him instantly.
2. Once prepared Noober sneaked in to the northern stairway so he was far away from the undead but still in range of the Idol. But before hitting it with Acid Arrows Noober summoned some meat shields to distract the undead as long as possible. Once the summons arrived he started hitting the Idol with his arrows until the meatshield goes down (and it will go down pretty quickly).
3. With the death of the summons Noober started the kiting phase in running around the Idol. His main goal: Avoiding any close clombat with the undead while hitting it whenever possible. As the enemy number grows rapidly thanks to the incoming bone golems Noober had a hard time. From time to time some spells somehow managed to get through the shielding so he had to use healing potions in between. After several tries he was lucky enough to crit the Idol down so the whole undead army crumbled to dust. Now Noober was able to talk with Brother Perdiem and took his badge – mission accomplished.
Only Malavon and Maiden Ilmadia are left...
The fearsome Maiden and her Fire Giants were much easier than expected. Here is the trick.
1. Blind Maiden Ilmadia to take her out of the following fight
2. Immediately use a Potion of Invisibilty so the Giants will still follow while unable to attack you
3. Lure the nine Fire Giants to the Frozen Temple in Wyrms Tooth Glacier (they will follow forever)
4. Stand right beside at least two Frost Salamandres that will constantly hurt the Fire Giants
5. Drink a cup of tea while the frost damage will take them down - reposition if needed
6. Return to Maiden Ilmadia and shoot her down (this may take some time)
7. Take her badge and some nice loot (no Hammer Longbow+4 - damn)
So only the dreaded Malavon is left...
This turned out to be one of the hardest battles in the game so far. Noober died a dozen times before finding a safe way through all of the surrounding chaos. The main problem is not only the small kiting room but also that this fight has two phases that cannot be paused. Leaving the building in between is not possible so Noober had to get a fast and clean kill on both Malavons. Here we go:
1. Place five traps in the left part of the building as this will kill many Invisible Stalkers that are summoned in phase two of this battle. Alternatively you can place the traps in the room before the first Malavon so that it will soften up the Umber Hulks and Iron Golems – your choice.
2. Use Oil of Speed, sneak into vision range of the first Malavon and blind him – this will take him out of battle so you only have to care about the Umber Hulks and Iron Golems.
3. Immediately summon some monsters for distraction and kill the Umber Hulks first with acid arrows. Once they are down you can switch to the +3 arrows from the Watchtower and easily kite the two Iron Golems.
4. Once they are dead you can move back to the first Malavon who is wandering around helplessly. Before (!) killing him you should use a Delayed Blast Fireball Scroll and put it near the place where to second Malavon will appear. Only now you should kill the first one.
5. Thanks to the high magic resistance of Malavon you will have to reload often. But from time to time the Fireball will go through and hurt him quite much (he nearly always makes his saving throw). Anyway: Malavon should be either „badly injured“ or „near death“.
6. To kill the heavily protected Malavon you have several options: It happens quite often that Malavon will damage himself with his own Death Fog spell. He also summons Fire or Frost Salamandres later on so you can use their aura damage (which will go through his shields) to bring him down. Just make sure to either protect yourself against fire/frost while running around Malavon so that the Salamandres will constantly touch him. Potion of Invisibilty is your best friend here. Noober himself killed Malavon with a good Fireball plus some aura damage of the summoned salamandres. Not to forget: Before going in for the kill you should kite down the surviving stalkers first.
7. Take Malavons Badge as well as many good scrolls and potions – you will need them soon!
All badges are now in the hands of Noober – hurray!! Poquelin's Chamber is waiting...
This encounter can be really tough. Not only will Poquelin throw deadly spells at you but - to make things worse - there will constantly spawn new monsters that only have one aim: Kill Noober!
Backstabbing + kiting did not work well because Poquelin not only has a decent amount of HP but you will also miss him quite often. As time is running against you there will be a point where kiting will not work anymore and the growing horde will catch you.
To get through all of this Noober used a very cheesy tactic:
1. Use "Death Fog"-Scroll out of vision to the area where Poquelin is waiting.
2. Immediately use a Potion of Invisibilty so the spawning monsters wont be able to attack you
3. Lure the frost salamandres to Poquelin for even more damage and wait until the Cut Scene triggers
Job done! Time to face Belhifet, no?
What a fight! And what a miracle that Noober went so far. Unbelievable. But as OlderThan13Years stated earlier: Noober seems to be a unstoppable force. After conquering Baldurs Gate, Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2 and now Icewind Dale only one question remains: Whats next?
BELHIFET
And here is how Noober took down the treacherous demon: Kiting him was really hard because of all those misses. At the end the 155 +3 arrows will not be enough so you have to change your tactics. Even more deadly: The Poisonous Gas of the Iron Golems is going to instakill Noober regularly. And – yes – they will most likely cast it if they ever get in range. So the very first goal was: Kill the Iron Golems with +3 arrows before they get the chance to spread their deadly gas.
Going into Melee Range against Belhifet was troublesome cause he always instakills Noober. The trick was: Attack him after he teleported! In this case he will not attack instantly as he is on his run for a spellcast. Use this timeframe over and over again. As he has no resistances against your slash damage a lucky crit can hit him hard for ~40 damage!
To avoid the dispel-traps Noober moved on the outer circle only. Thanks to his high movement speed he was able to outrun the monsters pretty easily. From there he was circling and kiting or – once you are out of ammo – waiting for Belhifet to teleport to a new location. When Noober was in time he ran up to the demon, hit him once and circled again. From time to time Belhifet will summon new shadow monsters – ignore them (they will disappear after some time). If he is in the inner circle and hunting you – ignore him. Because if you try to hit him in this case he will instantly counterattack. To survive his Fire Spells always (!) make sure that your fire resistance is at 100%.
Essentials vs Belhifet:
Oil of Speed
> 100% Fire Resistance (Items + Potions)
(Potion of Power)
(Potion of Cloud Giant Strength)
Patience!!!
