AI problem

hi. Really like the advanced AI option, but when my fighter/mage, regardless of what I set him to, cast spells.
I am doing something wrong? I've turned off offensive and defensive spells, tried switching him to none, to standard attack, but he still just buffs himself, then unloads on a damn kobold.
any help?
I have bg2 tweaks installed, and might and guile as mods

    I wish I could help, but if you have turned off all scripts and even the individual actions in the advanced options section, I have no idea why your character still keeps casting spells. Sounds like a bug tbh.

    Make sure that you click on "Done" and not back your way out of there. Reloading a save-game before setting their scripts will revert back to the previous settings.

    Press A to toggle AI off completely.
