Console for Mac?

Trying to find info on how to use console for Mac. Google search brings up nothing current.

You mean the Console.app in /Applications/Utilities or the in-game console :P
For the game console, open baldur.lua with TextEdit and add this line:

SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1')

Then, get into the game and press Control+Spacebar.

The in-game. Where do I find the .lua? I have recently returned to OS X and I can't remember where anything is.

The baldur.lua file should be in /Users//Documents/Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition/.
