questions from a noob to PS:T

So, I've noticed something immediately different about PS:T as opposed to the BG series or Icewind Dale was the character creation. so I have some questions about that. 1. do you always start as a fighter? 2: is there any form of alignment? 3. how exactly do you change class and alignment, and 4: what classes are avalible? Please no plot spoilers i'm just wanting general answers here

1. Yes.
2. You start true neutral then it changes based on how you play.
3. You learn new class from NPCs
4. Fighter, thief, mage are available for TNO
