How to select multiple items inventory

in Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition
Sorry for the noob question but how do I select a certain number of an inventory item if I have more than one of them?
Say I have 3 charms, how to select 1 to give to someone elese?

    I believe you can select how many copies of the item you want to pick up if you doubleclick on it.

    Double Click the item.

    Ah yeah! I was trying this on 3 dustman embalming charms and it wouldn't work but on other items it does indeed. Thanks guys.

    @Ranky those dustmen embalming charms are one item with 3 charges, not a stack of 3 items.
    If the number is in the bottom left, it is charges, it its in the bottom right, it is stacked.
