Trash Warrens

in Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition
Just got to the trash warrens, everyone except the groups at either end, even the villagers are all acting like enemies as soon as I see them. I don't remember this being normal or what I could have done to trigger it?

    Normal. They are enemies.

    No bug

    Very nearly everybody will attack you in the Trash Warrens - but you can talk your way past the first group, and you can also talk your way past the last group provided you meet the stat requirements and make the right dialogue choices - but even if you succeed they may still become hostile at random, and will certainly become hostile if you attempt to talk to them ever again. Everything else will attack you on sight

    They are enemies normally.

    However, that doesn't mean you have to kill them. Simply run past them if you don't want to kill them.
