look at this: http://www.shsforums.net/topic/56670-big-world-setup-an-attempt-to-update-the-program/page-206#entry594820
just take up BiG World Setup, it's abandoned as of yesterday. the players really need this (BWS needs support and without it will get worse and worse) and you need the client to be more popular so it's a match made in heaven.

* They would pick which mods are in included at all in BWS, as well as which ones go into the "recommended" vs. "standard" vs. "tactic" vs. "expert" BWS loads (i.e., which mods get greater audiences), which could get terribly political.
* They would also then be involved in creating and/or approving "hot-fixes" for buggy mods and mod conflicts.
* Finally, think about the fact that Beamdog has maintained that this site and the games are rated "Teen". If they took over BWS, that would potentially mean purging BWS of all mods that would not also be rated "Teen" (e.g., Romantic Encounters).
If Beamdog wants to work with Wisp and incorporate a mod-installer in the client - that would be fine. But I don't think they should be involved in a curation project like BWS. That's something for the community to do.
also bws is not so much of a curation project as you make it. all these things like "recomended" vs "expert" categories are totally non-vital. that's not the point of BWS. it's mainly for all the classical things mod managers are for, which install order, updating etc. it's very (very!) normal for a tool like this to come along with a game nowadays.
