My Mouse Exits Me Out of the Game!

Hello,

I'm using a new laptop, and whenever I play Baldur's Gate EE my mouse clicks me out of the game. I move my mouse to the bottom of the screen, whenever BGEE is open, and the cursor changes to my original mouse cursor. Next, when I click the game alt+tabs me out to my desktop.

What's happening? :s:s:s

@1130210, just a couple of Qs first...

What type of mouse (brand and is it wireless or wired) are you using?
What is your OS and version of BGEE?
Does your Notebook have an independant video card (gaming notebook) and/or the built in Intel option?
Does BGEE crash in the opening menu, creation screen or is it at some other point within the game?
Has this happened from installation, or is it recent (like last week with the Windows 10 update)?

As a starting point I would look at the following:
    - Update video driver (most likely)
    - Update the mouse driver
    - If running Windows 10, look at installing DirectX 9 / update OpenGL.

    Hope this helps

Another option to look for are background applications that request focus or display high priority windows or message boxes even when the game is running (e.g. antivirus or firewall apps).
