Will fighter be able to cast mage scrolls?

Will we be able to this in BG:EE?
In BG you can pause the game, go to your inventory, right-click a potion in the backpack to drink it, swap slots with the scroll and the potion, leave the inventory, unpause and cast the spell. Even if you're a fighter!

Sounds like a UI exploit. Because the game has a new UI, it may not be possible.
