Multiplayer Issue Dragonspear @Nathan

Hey,

So my friend and I have been having an issue. We can get a link set up, create characters, all that. But when it comes time we can't click the "Ready" squares. As a result, we haven't been able to start a game. We have tried with both computers acting as host separately, neither of us have mods, and they're both the most up to date version.

Little help?

    Hi
    I'm not entirely clear whether this is for a new game or loading an existing save. There are two scenarios identified that can affect ready to play;

    1) The host double-clicks a save to load it. Single click it then click Load.
    2) The host starts a game, then returns to the arbitration screen. Close the game and wait for clients before beginning.

    If you are seeing either of these, the workarounds are as above. You can report the issue as per https://support.baldursgate.com/projects/external-bugs/wiki and we would then link it up to internal activity.

    If you are seeing something other than these please details the steps you take to reproduce it and if possible include a screenshot showing the point where you experience the issue. Again, this can be done as per the wiki.

    Thanks

    So tried it again, tried generating fresh characters. No character imports, and this time in standard Baldur's Gate. The game showed that his character was ready, but mine was not. I was unable to click the ready button though he could click his.

    We tried again, this time having him create both his and my character on his computer and transfered control to me after creation. This time it worked and we got in, but once we were in we got a grey screen and after a minute of that the whole thing just dropped out.

    We are progressing, and will try again, but preferably would like to be able to have my own imported characters in future.

    I've checked on one of my multiplayer games and from what I can see clicking with the "finger" of the hand pointer within approximately the red zone added a tick, so long as that character was controlled by the person clicking. So I'm not entirely sure why it doesn't work for you.

    So a few questions to understand in more detail.

    If you host, which of you is unable to click.
    Is this on your primary monitor, or a secondary monitor. Is anything like Displaylink involved
    Do you have anything like e.g. desktop zoom set to a value other than 100%
    Could you send him your character so he can import it for you
