Importing characters and mods

well im doing my first ever complete playthrough from start to finish (bg through TOB) and i was wondering, i have my game modded fairly well with tweaks and the npc project, will that break my save file when i import into SOD, and then when i import into BG2 (as i will have possibly more mods pre installed on bg2 when i get to it) thank you :)
