Some chars aren't following their scripts

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Right now Valygar is set to Attack Enemies and Hide in Shadows but he does neither without being directed. Jan is set to Find Traps, but he doesn't do it unless directed. ??

    You might've turned off the AI. Click the A key.
    If that's not the case, remove the scripts from the characters and add them again.
