Newbie question iOS multiplayer

Ok do I have to only join other iOS users? I’m playing on an iPad duh. What’s the deal with that?

    I have done this successfully with iOS and OS X, but they were on the same version of BGEE. Not sure how things stand now

    So I’m limited to playing with other people using iOS is that correct?

    Maybe, i honestly don’t know. This is probably better answered by someone like @JuliusBorisov

    All participants of the MP should have the same game version. Currently, only iOS has BG:EE of 2.4. So yes, it's correct:

    I'm looking at doing multiplayer with my daughter. She greatly prefers her iPad to the computer. Does the iOS version still lag behind the PC or Mac version?
