And I'll point out again that KOTOR, a very similar game, is fine on a touch screen.

From my experience with ports to the various platforms (as a player) i feel that theres always a danger of corrupting the gameplay for all involved platforms. The maintainance effort is multiplied by more than the number of ports. And you just can get the best thing for any one port. You can't text-chat on a pad or console.

You can port any game from playstation to pc without major modifications. All the pc would need to have is a gamepad. I acquired a couple of them and they all dont work, apparently you specifically need the xbox controller. To port a pc game do any other system, they would need to get mouse and keyboard and thats probably asking too much for most users. Also NWN look easy at the start, but in the long run graphics capabilies get rather stretched even on a high-end gaming system. Most non-gameing platforms will stutter and lag very badly, and require highspeed internet as well. Can't very well use mobile internet at this time.

Tell me, do Androids dream of electric sheep?

Would a tablet version be easier to swallow with a glass of water?

You can, technically... There are plenty of remote desktop apps that Android supports. No idea about iPhone, but I'm sure there is something.

While I agree more players is always a good thing, do you really think Multiplayer NWN on a tablet or phone would be comparable to a PC? I suppose if you could hook up a mouse and keyboard the different is null beyond hardware strength. On touch-screen alone though, I feel this would be a terrible experience in comparison to PC.

PC would certainly be more immersive, particularly if you're playing on a roleplay server or highly atmospheric module, but I don't actually think the multiplayer gameplay itself would be inferior. NWN's gameplay is already click-to-act, with queued actions and relatively little in the way of complex key combinations or keyboard finessing, so touchscreen doesn't seem like too much of an inconvenience to me. I'd have no problem with it myself, but I'm admittedly not much of a powergamer either.

Although I'm assuming a tablet here, not so much a smart phone.

Mind you, NWN's graphics on my S8 seems almost... appropriate.

I‘d absolutely love NWN on an iPad Pro. If you factor in that you can automatically pause after every round and the radial menus would be simply rad for a finger (just imagine swiping over a button and POOF! there it is!), I can‘t see absolutely no reason why the gameplay would be hindering on tablets. NWN is meant to be on tablets if you ask me. It would be a killer app for tablets, because there‘s no competition in that regard. Even when there are more than 2 million iOS apps for example, not a single one comes close to NWN in scale or D&D epicness (sorry, not even KOTOR). That said, I loved KOTOR on iPad and would buy without a thought NWN or KOTOR 2 on the tablet

If you are using nvidia then Moonlight works beautifully for Mac, Android, Linux and PC.

I would also LOVE NWN ported to Android. Even if it has to be dumbed down to fit.
I don't get a lot of time on my PC these days so I'm forced to troll for decent Android games.
KOTOR works fine and while the experience isn't the same as KOTOR on the PC it's "close enough."

The pseudo turn based nature of NWN and KOTOR make the gameplay less of an issue than you'd think. Multiplayer would take a hit but it would be awesome to be able to run characters across platforms on NWN like I do with BG. (Because of Beamdog's respect for file structure you can literally play on the phone, tablet, and PC seamlessly if you sync your saves with Dropbox.)

Kids asleep? Start campaign on PC. Kids awake?! No problem! Rock a baby and slay a wizard on your phone!
