If Imoen is not in party...?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
What would be the effect, if any, if I choose not to have Imoen rejoin my other grouping after chapter 3?
I used her throughout the game when I played a "good" party, and she seems to have an important role to play with Imoen interacting and adviseing my avatar a lot. But I am also playing with an "evil" party and intend at the proper time to not allow her to rejoin, but to send her back to the Copper Caldron Inn in the Slums.
Does this adversely effect the way the game plays out?
So what happens with her back in the slums?

    She's like any other NPC you send there, nothing special. However in her case, some other party members may react to your *cruelty*, depends on who is with you.

    I never use and no difference to then game. Brodie does mention that she’s not in your party when you have to finally confront her.

    No effect indeed.. but i can't play without my siblings :D

    Unless i solo.. but then i miss them and go get'em anyway.
