    Lolth has been statted in the early editions, and CHARNAME and the other Bhaalspawn are by that point very high level. They can take her.

    I'm not all that familiar with Dragonlance, but that sounds like something a teenage boy would come up with. Ooh, I'm gonna write a mage character that is soooo powerful that he can kill GODS!!!! Again, I'm not familiar with the details, but the act alone seems over the top.

    All this talk of ascending makes me wonder what CHARNAME would have become by 4e if his ascension was canon. Logically speaking, he'd either have taken Cyric's place or been killed by Cyric.

    In fairness, it was just one god, and even then he didn't kill her: he just kicked her ass all the way through her plane. As a result, the gods briefly took up a season of kicking every level 18+ character off their planet, before deciding to leave themselves altogether.

    Sarevok has magic resistance, and would've won the fight even without his mooks: Gorion would have just put up a bigger fight.
