    Thought I'd drop in and say "Hi!" Once upon a time I was very active on the BIoWare NWN boards as a modder and a moderator (some here may recall me from back in the day) and I"m looking forward to seeing what is to come in the enhanced edition.

    As for what I've been up to: Life. Largely dealing with increased work responsibilities which will probably cut into any time I hope to spend playing with the enhanced toolset. But I look forward to seeing what is to come. (And maybe I can rationalize time spent on NWN:EE with my (teenage) daughter as an educational exercise in teaching her to program...

    The Carrion Crawler is really neat! Without the tenticles it looks a little like a Kwama Forager.


    I can't wait to see it up and moving. Whats the next step in it's creation?

    Well I way behind on it because I got sick over the holiday break and so did my mom so had to take care of her too. The next step is to finish combining all the tentacles and adding a head/eyes set, rigging the bones for animation. Import some animation from a old carrion crawler clean any bad animations and/or if the animation look sucky than start from scratch with animation. I got sidetracked making more base items(kill the bags LOL) belt, gloves, boots, bracers. Was going to model/texture every type to match up with their icons, but wondering if BD is going to put dynamic gloves/boots and wonder how I can prep for it if they do. Gloves can be done with vfx but no ptl support yet on vfxs.

    I am really sorry to hear about your family's health problems over the holidays. Hopefully everyone is doing better and were still able to have a good time.

    I spent much of it in hospitals and doctors visits myself. My wife had to have an MRI due to a severe hand injury. My father in law suffered 2 heart attacks back to back and I have been in rehab for my knee which is currently missing half of a quadriceps (which I guess is it now a bicep?) It feels like I currently live in the hospital but in reality it's only 2-3 doctors/hospital visits a week.

    I really love the base items! I couldn't believe my eyes seeing actual belts and boots in game. You just get so used to the originals that you don't even question it until 15 years later, so mad man comes along and fixes it!

    Just realized this thread has been 2 pages and I haven't shared what I am doing right now!

    I am currently working on a loot system which will supplement character progression past epic levels. The idea is for post 40 content, players will challenge a series of raid style dungeons and boss battles each of which provides the equipment required to challenge the next series of raid encounters. Each complete set of equipment will provide a CR bump. This will hopefully mean I get to carefully control power creep while still providing a sense of progression.

    I am currently 4500 items deep, which provides the base loot from 1-40 and completely supplements every single bioware default item (including all misc).

    It's been a slog but the biggest problem was how to create a naming convention for 50 daggers, longswords or gloves without referencing any modifies (+1, +2 etc) but was still easily recognizable and didn't turn into word soup.
