Fix the starting level.

In the main official NWN:EE Campaign the starting level needs to be fixed. If you chooses to go through the Academy Tutorial, which for your very first toon u must but after that its optional, you start the game out at lvl 3, if you choose to skip it and start Chap.1 in the Temple, you start at Lvl 1. so i think this needs to be addressed.

I think this is a very sensible request, it is extremely dull replaying the prelude just so you don't miss out on those extra two levels.

A very easy fix is to hit ~ and type "DebugMode 1" and hit enter, then type "GiveXP 6000" and click on your player, allowing you to reach level 3. You would then type "DebugMode 0" to exit Debug Mode and get those damn yellow squares off your screen. However, you'd miss out on a bit of loot, for example the half plate that tends to drop for warriors, which kind of sucks, and the fact that you have to cheat in order to start at the appropriate level is a bit off.

perhaps can it be made so then you start with more gold as well if you skip the tutorial ( like 500 extra or so? )

@sarevok57 There's a cheat for that too, "dm_givegold 500", to which again you'd have to click your character. It'd be good if Beamdog added it in themselves as compensation for not wanting to waste your time, though, considering people probably know how to play a 15 year old game at this point.

I also forgot that you miss out on Jaroo's Rod of Frost if you're a mage, which is pretty damn good early on. Man, the prelude gives you some good stuff for free...

Are console commands not working? It takes only a few seconds to type:

DebugMode 1
dm_givelevel 2 (adds 2 from level 1 to level 3)
dm_givegold 500 (optionally)
DebugMode 0

It isn't cheating if that gives you the same end result.

Technically that gives you significantly less gold, worse items, and potentially less XP.

Also, for monks, you miss out on 3 key items that you get for free by skipping the tutorial. Robes of the Shining Hand +1 from Olgerd, the resident academy supplier; Boots of Reflexes +1 from Herban after informing him of finishing your combat training; and Boots of the Sun Soul +1 that you loot from the evil sorcerer you encounter in the room before entering the stables where the Waterdhavian creatures are kept.
