    Problem is Arena (especially Arena) and Daggerfall aged like crap, so people tend to ignore those two when talking about pre-Oblivion Bethesda.

    Its true that they are both primates, but ape and monkey are mutually exclusive. That's like saying spiders are a type of crab, because they are related.
