Looks like it! I knew early 3D graphics could be updated and look good, i've seen mods do it, but Beamdog really outdid themselves here. It looks amazing and I can't wait to see more models come out.
I think EE will outdo 2 by virtue of the much larger variety of armor combinations...everyone ran around in NWN2 with every single inch of their body covered in the same 4 or 5 models. Like a bunch of iron clad nuns or something.
NWN2 never got the adoption rate and community activity that NWN did, not at any single point in it's existence. There are certainly very dedicated and defensive fans of NWN2 but as someone that plays both games I think the result speaks for itself and it's pretty clear why NWN was always the better choice, except with the official story mode which was the primary focus of NWN2.
I'm hoping they continue to focus on engine graphics updates before they start making lots of new content.

I believe it was Savant that made a comment about how NWN2 was released before it was completed... was that because Atari was having money problems?
I played it yesterday for the first time since NWN2 release, I'll admit its a bit hard to look at..but this was the glory days of true D&D gaming on PC, so I'm gonna give it a chance and participate in feedback.
