What Operating System are you on @XXXLanceALotXXX? And what did you install NWN:EE with, Steam, GOG, or somewhere else?

@XXXLanceALotXXX The toolset is PC only. So if you are on something else, you won't have it.

I'm on my new laptop running Win11 Pro. Downloaded install from website...don't remember if it was Steam's. It appears to be the latest release. Steam is installed though as I installed it also. Just ran another search and found it. Previous searches only pulled up my websearches for some odd reason. Thanks for everyone's responses. I've always loved this community since day one when I started playing decades ago, though honestly never agreed with NWN's starting characters with below average stats. I always return the 12 pts stolen at character creation prior to racial modifiers.

Curious...only the official modules show up on the menu to open...none of the community or premium modules I've downloaded show up at all. Is this normal??? I'm trying to incorporate the spell quickbar in all modules I play to make casting sooo much easier and seamless instead of having to pause the game while I dig thru the radial menu to find the spell I'm trying to cast. (Really should have been incorporated in initial release.)

Check nwn.ini in Documents. The path for .mod files should be set to the modules subfolder in Documents, where your community modules should be. The toolset will then find the community modules, and create new ones there.

Official modules are in the game installation. Normally the toolset can't see them. If you want to modify them, copy the .nwm files to Documents modules sub-folder, renaming them .mod.

Check that you have your downloads in the relevant folders in the documents/Neverwinter Nights folder.

The modules directory under documents is empty. No clue where the modules I've downloaded are being stored. After searching entire harddrive the only .mod files found were the official modules. So weird.

Is it possible the .mod files are being stored on Steam cloud servers?

If you subscribed to the modules on Steam workshop, move them to the Documents modules subfolder.

The folder paths are discussed at length here (see especially "Steam Workshop Fix").

I'm no expert on cloud storage (don't trust it), but I've often read that players have problems with it. If it's possible that your .mod files are anywhere in a cloud, I'd move them to a local drive, but maybe that's just me.

AAARRRGH!!! Modules reside on Steam and they don't have an option to download the module. I paid for it, I should be able to download it to my system. Only available option is Play. SOOO frustrating!!!

Which modules are you talking about here? User made or premium? If premium you may have been looking for the wrong file type. The extension for both the official game module files, the extensions module files and the premium module files is not *.mod but *.nwm.

That's probably more a form of copy protection. Most module makers I know, don't want their work stolen and modified by everyone. If you want to be able to do that, you must get your mod files from publicly available websites.

If you're taliking about Steam Workshop, read my last post and link. You can easily move community modules to your Documents.

Was able to get a few community modules downloaded but the Premiums all reside on Steam so no way to add the spell quickbar hak to those. Again thanks for all your inputs.

It would be great if there was a Mac version of the NWN toolset. Any chance that may happen?
