Always default

Just started a new game but no matter what voice I select at character creation when I enter the game it reverts to the default voice. If i then select a new voice it show the new selection but when I close out the menu it reverts to the default voice. I even removed all the custom voice packs incase this was the issue and tried it with just the basic voices but it does the same thing

Do you by chance get any other problems? Like saves not being saved?

Or it can be a consequence of using mods (soundset mods). In this case make sure you indeed have the base version.
