Question about old Baldur's Gate mod.

I've been trying to find a very old Baldur's Gate (original) mod that I used to play with back when I was younger (a long time ago). The only part of this mod that I can clearly remember, is that you could pick up a pair of boots (cleric only) in Durlag's Tower from the floor under the entrance floor, that gave you 25(?) magic resistance. The mod did change a lot of other things in the world as well, but those boots are the one thing that I can clearly remember. Prat (Candlekeep Catacombs) also dropped an item that gave you more mage spells.

So from this vague bit of information, does anyone remember this mod?

If you mean "Nirel's Boots of Protection" they are from the very old mod Northern Tales of the Sword Coast.

Good news is that this mod has been polished and renovated and is available for all versions of the EE games now.

About Prat - he and the other guys in the catacombs have some random items to drop, nothing that matches your description. But with randomized items that is to be expected, so that item you search may be on someone else just as the randomizer determines.

There is a mod that adds a brown dragon (IIRC) at the Druid Grove.

Does anyone know what mod is that?
