Why no Beta on GOG Galaxy?

I own all the EE games on GOG... and I'd really like to try out the 2.5 beta. Is there any way for me to get in on it? And if not, why?

    Look at it from a positive side: beta is a beta, i.e. it has bugs and stuff. Whenever the full patch is released, you'll get a fully tested update.

    That... isn't really helpful. If I was worried about bugs, I wouldn't be asking about the beta. Uh... thanks though?

    My guess would be that it is significantly more difficult to push patches on GoG than on Beamdog/Steam from a developers perspective.
