Voices from NPCs aren't correct

Just started playing the game through steam and I am having issues with NPC that talk. I can only hear them through my right speaker. I have tried adjusting the 2d/3d slider, but I change it all the way to 2d, I can just barely hear them talk and moving it to the 3d changes nothing. I adjusted the voice slider all the way up also and that did nothing also.

This is not game breaking, but it is getting annoying not being able to adjust this while playing.

Any help would be useful
