I have two computers. One upstairs and one downstairs. I play on them both, but never at the same time. I never have nwn open on both at the same time. It plays great on my downstairs computer no problem. When I try to log in my computer upstairs to play on my server. I get this error.
Server found. Attempting to log in.
Connection to server has failed.
Connection error: Your player name has been refused by the server.
I'm running the dedicated server with the server vault going.
Can anybody help me out with this? It's pretty disappointing..

If it asks for your player name, check the save as default box when you type it. If it refuses it, try again and I think it'll work.
Otherwise, go into your Neverwinter Nights directory and open nwnplayer.ini in notepad. Find the [Profile] section and add a line, if it isn't already there, that says PlayerName=
After the = type an account name you want and save it. You can always go into nwnplayer.ini and change it later if you want.
Does anyone know of anything else that needs to be checked in regards to the "Your player name has been refused by the server." error?
I really would like to solve this for my players.
Try to play together via the LAN window, as well as making sure that your playername has been set for default in your nwn.ini. We've found that in the past that if the name isn't set by default, it occasionally will cause problems.
