2.5 patch question

If I create a character or characters now, in anticipation of the new patch being released, and then save the beginning of the game in Candlekeep with that character, will the save work in 2.5 with all of whatever new fixes and features?

Or, should I wait until it's released, and then worry about creating a new character?

    If you wanna be safe you can just export the character into a character file, then start a new game with the character after the patch is released.

    @BelgarathMTH Hard to tell. It has to work theoretically as while in Candlekeep you still don't have to deal with new stuff (like Branwen, Jaheira, Yeslick, Kagain - etc - related), but the safest bet would be to start a playthrough in 2.5.
