Curious about leaving ( Possible Spoilers )

I am currently having to fight the lich for part of Kangaxx's body and am having some trouble so I have a question. Do opponents like him reset all their spells and abilities if I leave the room and come back. Their is so little room in this fight that I cannot run for some space as I have my back to stairs...

The usual tactic is that you just have somebody who is immune to most of his worst stuff block said stairs and everybody else kind of fan out before the fight starts so they aren't all packed in, and hope your protections last long enough on the member that's blocking the stairs. You can't really run from kangaxx because he will chase you through area transitions and will end up following you out to the docks.

So I got him back together and can defeat his first form and the question comes up again as to whether leaving and returning resets Kang's powers and spells...

Any detailed advice for Kang in particular since he has 2 forms, I would leave after defeating his first form and reset my skills because when he comes back in his second form, I am depleted...

EDIT: also, leaving the room interrupts casting. The spell is then indeed lost. In other words, if you keep entering and leaving, at some stage liches do not have spells to cast anymore. If you are VERY patient, it is a cheesy way to easily kill them. Some liches will follow you to the next room.

You can pretty easily drain Kangaxx's spells by constantly leaving whenever he starts casting. Using this exploit makes Liches the easiest epic level enemies to kill. Now for Kangaxx's SECOND form. Yeah no, I'm fairly certain his "spell" is an unlimited special ability.

NICE Ill have to remember the leave tactic when I get to him this time. That was the single most frustrating opponent for me in the entire game! Now if only there was an immunity or protection for his stupid Time Stop spell...

If you are out of sight when time stop kicks in, the liche will not move nor do anything during the entire time stop. If you leave when the liche starts casting it, it works too.

Just recruit Korgan for that one fight and use his berserker ability to tank kangaxx with 0 effort

I don’t know how this happened, but last time I fought Kangaxx, he followed me out of the room... and up the stairs,.. and into town...
the rest of Athkatla fell before the lich’s awesome power as Charname fell into the sweet oblivion of undeath, now a servant to his lord.

Thanks to everyone for the many answers to my querry...I ended up just using six protection from the undead scrolls and having my Paladin hit him with the Burning Earth sword plus Kundane in my off hand...

When doing that, don't forget to kill the lich in the City Gates district while the scrolls are active. He also guards Daystar, which is able to kill Kangaxx in no time as its bonus damage bypasses his physical resistances.
