IWD EE Crash / Gender selection

Hello lads & ladies.
I just installed IWD EE for another run through and when I get to the character selection screen, I select my gender and hit OK and it just dies, the sound will play for a second and then stop and start to play again in about 3 secs and then crash completely. I have tried both renderers and the both yield the same result. I have uninstalled the game twice and reinstalled. I have no mods.

    @Mereinid Try to make sure the game is fully uninstalled (including the override folders) and then installed again.

    If it doesn't help you, please report at support.baldursgate.com for investigation.
