to make it up to to ToB content and actually contend

    I'd make it paralyze non-undead critters for 6 seconds on a failed save vs. death.

    That's it. Not as strong as Celestial Fury, but it still has a similar function. You get a weapon that's interesting and remains strong but not completely overpowered from BG2 to ToB.

    Or possibly thematic, more linked to the name, change the AoE Blind 3/day to:

    Save vs spell or be blinded for 1 round on succesful hit

    Cast Death Fog 1/day
    Cast ADHW 1/day

    I would add:

    * A penalty to the saving throw vs the Blindness effect.

    *A 3 round no saving throw Blindness on a critical hit.

    * An immunity to Blindness for the wielder.

    I think I'll pack this into my next mod.
