Why does Skie have no reaction to her father's assassination?

    NPCs in BG1 don't banter or react to quests.

    This could be something to add to the NPC project if it isn't already. I don't usually have Skie in my party but if I did, I would want some sort of reaction from her regarding her father's demise. I don't know if that mod is officially considered finished and I have no idea if they included anything for this quest but the NPC project for Baldur's Gate is considered mandatory by many of us. I don't know if any of the original modder's involved on the project still actively mod for this community but they may be able to add it in if it's not already. Of course a request would need to be made and that would involve contacting them somehow. It does seem like an oversight by the original developers despite the time period this game was made and the NPC's general lack of reaction to quests.

    Maybe that's why Skie doesn't react to it.
    "Your father has been murdered!"
    "Sigh, again?"

    Yes.

    The BG1NPC interaction has a noblewoman approach Skie on the street and tell her. The addition to BGEE v2.5 has Skie ask the servant "So it's true?". IMHO, they work together.

    What im annoyed about is the railroading regarding Skie. Even if you get Skie permanently killed (stoned then destroyed) in BG 1, she just shows up in SOD like nothing happened. Hell, you can kill Skie yourself and she doesnt remember it.

    EDIT: And BG1NPC has a reaction too.

    A noblewoman, Dora, approaches Skie and informs her that her father is dead.

    Yup, almost every returning npc in BG2 has lines to that effect.
