I probably go with good aligned fighter or kensai with dual wielding first

@Vuki Not possible according to the BGEE manual: "Dual-class characters
may not choose a kit for their second class, and certain restrictions might
apply based on the character’s first class."

I come to you with questions. Should I be an archer dualed into a thief, a monk, a multiclass fighter/thief? The world (of faerun, that is) is my oyster!

Bard Blade. And I'll be choosing every snarky dialog option I can.

Good news, I created the character I wanted in BG1 tutu (with shadowkeeper) then exported the character. I moved the .chr and .bio files into the libraries/documents/BG -EE/characters folder and they imported successfully into EE. I did have to change the portraits as they didn't quite fit correctly, but everything else worked great. No issues so far and I have the exact character I wanted. Good times ahead!!!

Does anyone know if Sorcs in BG:EE use charisma still like BG2:TOB even though it says they need intelligence?

Sorcerers don't use either stat in either game.

Human thief. He was my first Baldur's Gate character and my go-to D&D character.

I'll probably do a half-elf wizard, and a dwarf fighter too...

Sorcerers never used either Cha or Int in BG1, 2 and ToB.

This will be my first. It's a surprisingly handsome half-orc!

    I've got two characters,

    A rather fragile half-elf Cleric/Mage

And a human Kensai who will eventually duel over to Mage

and i have decided if I'm going to remake my plain Human fighter dueled into Cleric

Started with a Chaotic Good Half Elf Cleric of Lathander

    Imoen
    Neera
    Rasaad
    Jaheira
    Khalid

Will probably replace Jaheira and Khalid later, haven't decided who else to grab yet.

Option 1: Human Paladin, using a one-handed sword + shield.

Option 2: Human Fighter, using a two-handed sword.

I guess this is the closet thread to posting your new characters I could find looking through the first 10 pages, so I'll just post it here.

I went to my tried & true character to start with.
Went through the Tutorial for the hell of it, gained some XP, robbed everyone blind and saved before ending the Tutorial just so I could Import my character to the real game.

When I played before my favorite was a half-elven fighter/magic user. This time for my first play through I'm doing a human paladin.

I am stuck with a half-elf true neutral mage. I would have liked to have my old stand by back, but the school restrictions don't allow him to exist while being useful :(

I started playing as a Sorcerer, but then It occurred to me that I always play as a Sorcerer, so I think I'll try something new.
I want to try and play as a Bard and then export him to BG2, but I never played before as one. Which of the bard kits you think is the best/ funnier to play with?

Skald, the Blade is almost a separate class

@Oxford_Guy Thank you for your answer.
Indeed the Blade doesn't quite look like a proper Bard. Guess it's settled then, I'll try the Skald.
It almost feels like I'm going to play BG for the first time eheh :)
