Large shield +1 in Nashkel store

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Hi. Is it just me or large shield +1 was removed from shop in Nashkel? Started a new game (BG-EE 2.5) on Ipad (so obviosly no mods) and was ... not very happy to find just regular shields in Nashkel store.

    Hmm, could it somehow depend on level (everybody in my party are now level 1)?

    It's been replaced with a normal Large Shield in v2.5 BGEE/SOD for me as well. Didn't see any info about this change in the patch notes.

    It could be a bug. Heaven knows IE has enough of those.

    it actually seems intentional, because there are only 2 large shields +1 in chapter 2/3 now ( which i believe both can be bought in beregost where they couldn't before ) it is a bit of a silly implementation but at least there is enough good +1 magical shields for at least 3 guys before you hit the bandit camp

    I noticed it as well and thought it was intentional. It did seem odd that so many +1 large shields could previously be bought from stores not renowned for selling magical items.

    Imho it might be not the best idea to start adjusting the balance of the game. BG is classic. There are many older guys like myself who are playing it to ... may I say, travel back in time. Yes, there are enough other shields available at this point of the game, but ... you know, I'm used to steal that large shield +1 in Nashkel. Do I REALLY need it? No. But hope you got the idea.
    Beamdog guys, you did the great job bringing BG to Ipad! I have also no problem with you introducing several minor items (leaving me a choice to use them or not). But if you want to change it, then better make a new game.
