    Check the harbor (Mendas's home) in Ulgoth's beard.

    It worked. Of course it was all my fault. I have not confronted Mendas on the safe I re-rolled some time ago, thus not completing the quest. Now its all well and can continue. You all are life severs! Thank you a lot.
