What is your favorite PnP accessories? (creative ideas especially welcomed)

I've got a roommate in mind with this thread (looking for gift ideas). and I'd especially like a unique idea so I don't get him like a dice set that he doesn't like as much as what he already has. But feel free to respond with ideas that aren't exactly gifts.

A mini for his favorite character, painted by someone good? It's hard to tell what some people play with. Most use pen. paper and dice. You get one of those very nice Wormwood dice boxes or dice rollers (warning- Pricey!)

I haven't played PnP in forever, but I had real d100 back in the '90s. Not one of those funky balls with water in it, either, a real 100 sided die. It was a solid hunk of plastic, about the size of a ping pong ball. The sole purpose it served was for the DM to throw at whoever was acting up. It seriously hurt if it hit you in the head or on a bone.

Its honestly great for tracking how many rounds have gone by and its big enough everybody can see it. Never lose track of how many rounds its been again!

Dice towers are honestly really fun too and if they don't already have one you can get a cheapo starter one for like 10-20$ and they're nice for the plinky sound they make. They also sell much fancier ones.

Miniatures are also always a nice touch, either a single nice one for a favorite character or in bulk if they're a DM. a friend of mine had a d120 and i was told mathematically that was the biggest die you could make since any more sides would make it almost impossible to stop rolling, or something like that

I imagine after that the lack of friction makes it more ball-like than die-like.
