Was wondering if they are good enough to complete a game solo hard difficulty with scs.
Bonus point if they can do it pure class.

I've attached a final save there (before going to fight Amelyssan), so everyone can try.
The main issue is lack of armor, and weak shapeshifting forms.
However, they hit anything (iirc they count as +6 weapons w/o hit or damage), have immunities on everything except fire/physical or magic,
have really nice status effect procs (snake is my favorite w/ the poison which lands pretty consistently. never leave home without one! wolf has cold+level drain which is ok, bear is tanky and fears but kinda sucks imo. lion is just pure physical dps which is always ok)
and all of this with an instant cast ability
Avenger is really nice too as you get Chromatic Orb and Web to eat up useless level 1 and 2 spells with some really decent arcane spells. Level 4 gives Improved Invis which is great. Level 5 was Chaos IIRC which is a great spell but Druids already start getting their own amazing spells at that level. The Web + Spider transformation is also a nice combo.
Honestly, Shapeshifter without any tweaks is still decent. People want this class to be an insane regenerating fighter that nom noms things with complete druid spell casting. That is already broken. Shapeshifter is a rollercoaster of power with a strong BG1 start, decent BG1 finish, decent BG2 start with an insane midgame and a weak endgame. But, they still recieve full spell casting for what... no irrelevant leather armor in TOB anyway? ToB enemies hit through full plate like butter, you might as well be naked. Not being able to claw endgame bosses is a little disappointing though but you are a trash mob destroyer even without mods.
Pure druid is kinda irrelevant since every single kit, including shapeshifter, is an upgrade.
Lastly, Shaman. I don't like dancing so I'm not going to mention that. However, they can use bows (which is a HUGE plus) and axes (which is decent). Their real strength is the sorcerer casting. A lot of divine spells are situational. You get a bandit encounter outdoors as a druid but don't have Call Lightning? An enemy goes invisible but you don't have an extra True Sight? You're at your summon limit and can't summon a Fire Elemental? Shamans don't have to worry about such things as they Call that Lightning, Dispel that Invisibility or just throw a Decay instead. The only thing I don't like about Shaman compared to any of the kits, including the base vanilla Druid is the fact that they still do end up with less casts per day.
Overall, I'd rank them in the order I mentioned them in. However, I do understand how some people like Avenger more. It's really just preference because they're both great.
