Very odd Planescape Torment issue on Android (Moto g6)

Hey all,

So I started to do a new playthru of Planescape Torment, and found a weird lag bug. After having a conversation, or even reopening the dialogue window to review text, the game lags like crazy. However, if I enter any other screen (inventory etc) and then exit back to the main game screen, no more lag!

Any ideas? This is very unusual.
