Wand of Polymorphing range.

In BG2(EE) Wand of Polymorphing have range of 5 ft (in BG1(EE) a same wand have range of 100 ft). My question is it intended or it's a bug?

    Have just spotted this topic. This sounds like a bug, i.e. inconsistency between the games.
