Single-Weapon Style and Fighter/Thieves

So I was reading some old posts on here (https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/5195/single-weapon-style) for example...
Here's the situation. Shar-Teel can dual wield and can dual class to thief. However, I *thought* that backstabbing was only done with the primary weapon. So if you took Single-Weapon Style with her, and removed one longsword (lets say) just to backstab, is it worth taking the pip?
You get a crit on a 19 or 20... and her THACO would be the same, so I'm thinking it works out better, but I'm hearing you backstab with two wepaons?

I think you have it right on. By taking single weapon style you crit on two results instead of just one when backstabbing. Normally you'd use two weapons in combat, but since you can't take long sword during your thief level up - makes sense to me to take it. Plus it'll help her during her thief levels until she gets fighter back.
