A dragon encounter would not be impossible in BG1. It would simply require that it wasn't a party v dragon battle only. A significant RP component could be added, in that you could potentially call for aid from nearby villages, seek special enchantments from Thalantyr etc. The batlte itself would still be extremely difficult, but within the range of possibility with the preparatory steps you take (and with the allies you manage to get).

I think the other thing to remember about BG1, is that there is no real 'kangaxx encounter'. Kangaxx presents an incredibly difficult fight in BG2, as does the rogue stone room fight. These are unique encounters which are designed to push you to your absolute tactical limit. There are no comparable encounters in BG1 which is a shame (trying to kill Drizzt doesn't count). It would be good if there was an especially difficult challenge available to the player (it doesn't have to be a dragon).

Zombies, there are no zombies in BGI
yes there are.. in the farm near the enterance to BG ;)
And zombies are in a few more places as well. They do need to get some voice actor to record "braaaaiinnss" though and put it in the game.

@mch202 What you are quoting there is a @TrentOster saying they might look into getting contracted to redo IWD at some point in the future. It doesn't say whether he has access to IWDs data files at present. It's fun for us to dream for the future about IWD, planescape and BG3 but at the moment they are on BG:EE.

All that being said if they do have or can get access to IWDs creatures I'd love to see some beetles and wights and BG (and goblins). @PhillipDaigle did mention something about goblins..

is how it should be done. :P

Anyway, I always felt that he was an all-or-nothing battle, easy or impossible.

@Caruga they're ogrillons (and congratulations for the english class) AND Half-Ogres, just take of the armor, and change the color of the skin and you get the same design. The fact Half-Ogres walk in a different way than the flesh golens/ogrillons doesn't mean a change in the design.

ain't ogrillons half-ogres or something, according to the AD&D monster manual? i think they're the result of ogres + orcs...

The problem is not the ogrillions and half-ogres similarity, but that the flesh golems use their design, and flesh golems surelly are not relative to neither of the two.

Unless the flesh golems are made of ogrillions flesh, which make them biologically related ;)
